Why is my cat coughing, sneezing, has trouble breathing, and mucus?

My cat (Costa) was perfectly fine yesterday, but this morning he was coughing a lot. Now (5:00 pm) he is coughing, sneezing, and having trouble breathing. When he sneezes blobs of cat mucus come out. I'm really worried. Please Help. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

Breathing difficulties should always be checked by a vet as they can rapidly deteriorate. It sounds like he has developed a severe respiratory infection and will possibly require anti-inflammatories, antibiotics and even medication to loosen the mucus
