Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 3 years and 2 months old | 40 lbs
Is there anythig I can do to reduce the amount of shedding my dog does? He is a mixed hound breed, fine short hair. Sheds constantly. No known allergies. I’ve tried different foods. He is on grain free always.

You will never completely eliminate shedding but you can sometimes reduce it. Sometimes it is just the dog and there isn't much that can be done. I suggest the following: 1. Daily brushing - important as it stimulates the normal oils in the skin to keep the coat healthy. 2. Omega fatty acid supplement - add this supplement to his diet to see if it helps. You need to give this a good 2 months of use before determining whether or not it's helping. It is not something that will help in just a few days so keep that in mind.
