My cat's eye is sore and getting worse. Is it an emergency, vet?

My cats eye looks sore it seems to have got worse should I be concerned or will it heal it's self. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 5 lbs

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It is very difficult to make a recommendation without at least seeing a photo of the eye. All I can tell you without seeing a photo is that if the eye looks worse to you then Millie needs to see a vet. Eyes are very delicate and can go from bad to worse very quickly to the point where she could lose not only her vision but the actual eye itself. I consider eye problems emergencies so I suggest you get her to a vet as soon as possible. Best wishes.
