I am needing to put my 5 1/2 yr old cat up for adoption and want her updated on any necessary vaccinations. She has never gone outdoors and has had no vaccinations in the last 5 years. What would she need and how much will it cost?

This does depend on your location. Your best option is to call some local clinics to find out costs. You may also check if there are any vaccine clinics offered by the humane society. In general indoor cats need a rabies vaccine and an FVRCP vaccine. If Tess did not go through her kitten vaccine boosters appropriately, she will need a booster for the FVRCP. So that is three vaccines total. Vaccine clinics may or may not charge an office visit. Private clinics will charge an office visit but new clients may be able to find a free exam coupon if one is offered. Rabies vaccines are around $25 and FVRCP is around $30 but again, this is variable depending on where you live. Please feel free to post any additional questions.
