Will my neutered male cats try to mate with an unspayed female?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Hi. I'm planning to adopt a female unneutered cat but I have neutered male cats in my house. Will they still wanted mate to my female cat? Will their behavior will change? Do you think they will get together as friends, without any sexuality attractions?

While it's possible that they will all get along, sometimes adding an intact cat into the mix can cause some stress for the other cats due to the hormones. You may want to consider having the female cat spayed - especially if you are not planning to breed her.
