My dog has diarrhea after oral Bordetella vaccine, is it normal?

My sweet Charlotte just received an oral bordatella vaccine yesterday and had diarrhea trough the night. She's otherwise her normal, spunky self! Could the poo be a side effect of the vaccine? Pet's info: Dog | Pug | Female | spayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 17 lbs

I would be a little surprised since the Bordetella vaccine is a little less likely to cause a reaction, but technically it is possible. I'd recommend notifying your vet of the possible reaction. Watch for vomiting and facial swelling or hives, and ask if it would be okay to feed her a bland diet for the next few days to help with the diarrhea. They may want to give her an injection before she receives a Bordetella vaccine in the future.
