I have a 3 year old DSH Orange Tabby Cat. He will go some area that he has not been in before, at least that day. and he will lick the surface whether it is tile, carpet, or cardboard box. Why would he do this?

Hi there. Excessive licking of surfaces is often associated with GI problems in cats, so I would recommend taking Logan to the vet to discuss this issue. Your veterinarian can do a physical exam, and may recommend some additional diagnostic testing if needed to help determine what is causing this behavior.
