My new kitten is sneezing. Is it normal, or when should I worry?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Russian Blue | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 7 days old | 4 lbs

Is it ever normal for kittens to sneeze? How long until I should be concerned? He saw a vet 6 days ago and he's new to our home 7 days ago

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Nikolai. Yes, it is normal for a cat to sneeze, it could simply be something in the environment causing him so irritation. I would be concerned if he is sneezing frequently or he has other signs such as coughing, congestion, runny nose, runny eyes, lethargy, or anorexia. If you see those signs, then have him seen by a vet. I hope this helps!
