Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 20 days old | 2 lbs
I have a 10 week old Pomeranian/ chihuahua mix puppy. I got him at 7weeks & he was perfectly healthy. 3 days ago he started puking foam, diarrhea, won’t eat or drink anything, is very weak and restless. We’re on a very low budget and was hoping I could get some advice on what to do. We’ve been using a syringe to give him water through his mouth.

I am so sorry that Champ is sick. I am very worried about him based on the information you gave. If he hasn't been vaccinated for Parvovirus, that is definitely a big concern for him. https://www.petcoach.co/article/parvovirus-serious-diarrhea-in-puppies-dogs/. Because whatever is causing the vomiting and diarrhea (whether its Parvo or something else, such as a severe intestinal parasite infection, or a blockage in his intestine) could be life threatening, I have to recommend that you take him to a vet. Since oral fluids (even when syringed gently) often cannot be tolerated (the GI tract is just not working... the fluid will not be absorbed) IV fluids are often needed. Also, with Champ being so little, he is at risk for his blood sugar dropping dangerously low which could be deadly. You can rub a little corn syrup or honey on his gums to try to help with this at home. Offer very small amounts of water or broth at a time to try to get some fluids in him, but don't force fluids- he could aspirate the fluid (breathe it into his lungs, rather than the fluid going into his stomach) which would set him up for pneumonia as well. Unfortunately there just isn't a ton you can do at home other than corn syrup/water and small frequent oral fluids----And I'm afraid that may not be enough. I wish there was more I could offer you, but it really sounds like he needs veterinary care.
