Hi there! One Reese’s cup doesn’t contain enough chocolate to cause any toxicity issues, so you shouldn’t need to worry :) It’s possible that he might have a minor upset stomach if he isn’t used to eating human food, but otherwise I wouldn’t expect any serious problems.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Your pup should be fine. Chocolate toxicity is based on how much the dog weight and the type and amount of chocolate ingested. It was a small amount of milk chocolate and therefore not enough to cause concern. Kisses to your pup!

A half of a Reese's cup is likely not enough to put Milo at serious risk of toxicity. He may have some minor stomach upset. This can typically be managed at home with a short fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts until symptoms resolve.

One Mini Reese's is not sufficient to cause chocolate toxicity. At 5.6lbs she could eat up to 4 1/2 Reese's normal size peanut butter cups without any toxic effects, so you will not have to worry. I would be more worried about her ingesting the wrapper which could possibly cause an intestinal obstruction. Watch for diarrhea, retching and lethargy and if that occurs have Rue examined by the vet. Any of those wrappers should actually appear in an x-ray.
