My dog threw up & has diarrhea after ER. Should I re-vet him?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | neutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 16 lbs

My dog threw up his undigested food then vomit white foamy liquid 5am. He also started pooping very soft poop. After pooping 3 times by accident (like it was leaking). And vomitting several times in an hour i took him to ER where they gave him antinausea med with antibitoics. He came home pooped pure brown liquid 7am No pooping since just very scant oozy green brown poop by his rear. Eating ok, xray negative. Struggling to poo and trying. No lethargy, should he resee a vet? 23hr since last poop.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Chico. If he is eating, drinking and acting normal without vomiting, then it is likely ok to monitor him. The diarrhea can take a bit of time to resolve. If he seems to be getting worse or starts vomiting again, then he will need to be seen a second time. I hope this information helps!
