My dog won't eat, has dry nose, and ate plant leaves. What's wrong?

My dog is not eating anything since Yesterday but only drinking some water .He is 8 years old. And his nose is also dry.Today in the morning,i saw him eating some plant leaves.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Harry. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. Some types of plants can be toxic to dogs. Hopefully this is not the case, but you still need to determine why he has had the decrease in appetite. Any coughing or sneezing could indicate a respiratory infection. Vomiting and diarrhea can affect the dog's appetite as well. Based on his exam findings, his veterinarian may be able to make a diagnosis. If not, then testing such as laboratory work and x-rays may be necessary. In the meantime, encourage Harry to drink water so that he does not become dehydrated. I hope this information helps!
