My dog hurt himself in his cage. What can I put on his wound?

Pet's info: Dog | Siberian Husky | Male | neutered | 60 lbs

I had my dog inside his cage and he tried to get out and he hurt himself with the wrought of the cage he has a scratch by his nose and is kind of deep and also he hurt his paw trying to open the cage what can I apply in the cut any ointment ?

I don't recommend applying any ointment. Although quite safe on superficial wounds, dogs lick and ingest most of the topical ointment you apply and therefore should be used only under direct veterinary supervision and if there are no other appropriate options. Many human ointments contain multiple other ingredients which are not necessarily safe to be swallowed. Gently clean the wounds with warm water and antiseptic soap. To keep him from licking at it, you can put an Ecollar on him. You can get one at a pet store or make one at home. Keep the wound clean and dry, and monitor it for signs of infection. If you see redness, swelling, warmth to the touch, or pus, then it is infected and he will need to see the vet for antibiotics to treat it. Best of luck.
