My dog threw up and has soft poop but seems fine. What's going on?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 4 months old | 50 lbs

My dog is having a hard time pooping. Whenever he does poop it has the texture of soft serve ice cream. He also vomited today. He behaves normally. He still asks for attention and wants food and water. What's wrong with him?

He might have eaten something spoiled that is causing this. withhold food for 12 hours then offer him boiled boneless chicken and rice every 6 hours in small portions. if he is eating and not vomiting, continue with this diet for 2 days. After 2 days, you can put him back gradually on his normal food. If he continues vomiting or is not eating, take him to the vet to get treatment.
