Why is my dog's eye watering? Is it allergies, epiphora, or other?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | 40 lbs

Her right eye sometimes waters and tears up. She does have allergies at times and when this happens I give her one allergy relief pill(as needed) I am concerned that perhaps it’s epiphora? and how would that condition be treated, if it was a medication a vet would have to prescribe

This could be epiphora, but it could also be Bella has an eye infection. Have her seen by a vet, and the vet can determine what condition is causing her problem and can prescribe the correct medication to treat it. Since I can't see her in person, I can't say what medication should be used because I can't definitively diagnose here. I hope this helps!
