What's this red spot on my young dog's skin? Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | neutered | 20 lbs

Hes had the spot for more than a month now, hes about a year old. It red and has specks of red on it. Thank you!

This could be a benign mass called a histiocytoma which could regress on its own over a few months. If he is less that 5 years old, then this is most likely. Unfortunately, it could also be a malignant mass or an infection and without seeing it in person I cannot say for sure. Since this is new and has specks of red in it, I would have your vet take a look at it. They may want to do a cytology of it to help detemine what it is and the best recommend treatment for him.
