Best dog food for sensitive stomach, skin allergies, loose stool?

My two year old black lab has a very sensitive stomach & terrible skin allergies. He is currently eating Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. I don’t believe this is working for him because he has terrible gas, frequent itching & licking despite taking an allergy medication, & very loose stool. I’ve been told to switch him to a limited ingredient diet, but I don’t know what brand to use. I am also concerned about peas/lentils can affect a dog’s heart. Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Male | neutered | 2 years and 4 months old | 90 lbs

From what you describe food allergy seems to be the cause. Hypoallergenic diets (Hill's or Royal Canin) or exclusion diet (I would use the diet your local vet has more experience with) can be all good options. It is important to continue with the same diet at least for 6 weeks without giving anything else before switching to another diet. Peas or lentils are absolutely fine and actually peas are often used as soruce of carbohydrates in exclusion diets.
