My dog barks alone, I've tried everything. What can I do?

Hello. Recently I recieved a note from my neighbours that my dog had been barking fro more than an hour. Casper always barks when the apartment is empty. The vet gave me organic "medicine" which should calm Casper when he is alone but it didn't. I also tried giving him chewing toys with treats but it didn't work either. I have tried teaching him not to bark but it again didn't work. I have tried mostly everything and I am desperate for help. If you need any further info let me know! There are also devices that you place in the home that will emit an ultrasonic sound that pets don’t like when it detects barking. I recommend to read the product reviews carefully.
