When can I feed my dog bland food after vomiting and upset stomach?

Cody is highly allergic to Turkey dog food and by accident he ate some. On advice, I gave hydrogen peroxide and he did throw up. Now he has an upset tummy. I fed him a little rice and can dog food and 2 hours later he threw that up. I am withholding food now. Should I put him on a bland diet at this point? He acts normal and wants to eat, but he is only getting water now. Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 4 years and 11 months old | 90 lbs

Hi, I would give his stomach a rest, just offer water little and often, I.e. 100 ml every 30 minutes to an hour, and offer him a small amount of bland diet in 6-8 hours, provided he hasn't vomited the water. If he keeps on vomiting just a after drinking a small amount of water, have him checked over. Hope this helps !
