My dog licked hot fudge and vomited. Is she okay? What to do now?

Pet's info: Dog | Cockapoo | Female | spayed | 7 months and 16 days old | 16 lbs

My 7 month old dog weighs about 15 pounds. Yesterday at 6:00, I left an eaten hot fudge sundae on a couch. In the sundae there were some remnants of hot fudge on the sides. My dog got to the cup and was licking it for about 1-2 mins. She was fine until she threw up 10 hours later. I’m terrified and I don’t know what to do.

It is unlikely that she ate enough chocolate to cause serious problems but since she vomited I would have her seen by your vet to ensure she doesn't need any meds. You could also call the pet poison helpline to get more information. Keep a close eye on her. Feed her plain boiled boneless, skinless chicken and white rice to help settle her tummy. I hope this helps www.petpoisonhelpline.com/
