My diabetic dog is lethargic, drinking a lot, panting. Emergency vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired) | Male | neutered | 14 lbs

Hello. I have a almost 9 year old mini daschund who’s been diabetic for almost 9/10 months. Over the last 2 days he’s been very lethargic. This even g, I noticed he is drinking A lot more water and he’s breathing heavy. He’s panting hard too.. should I go to emergency vet?

Hi ! I think a check up would be better, as diabetic patients can deteriorate quite rapidly. It might be that her insulin dosage needs adjusting but best to be safer and have him checked over to make sure he does not have any other medical complications such as pancreatitis for example.
