My dog's eyes are squinting and he won't open them. What's wrong?

Hello, thank you for your question about Buster. Squinting is usually a sign of ocular discomfort/pain which can be seen with a number of different conditions. It can be a sign of infection, ulceration on the eye surface, glaucoma, etc. It can also be seen if there was exposure to any ocular irritants, such as secondary to getting shampoo in the eyes, or other products. If Buster is squinting and seems very uncomfortable I would recommend having him evaluated by a veterinarian so that they can examine his eyes and try to determine what is causing the squinting. Depending on their findings they can discuss the recommended treatment or the need for additional diagnostics. Hope this helps, good luck!
