Oh goodness. This is very concerning. Many different possibilities cause increased water intake, weight loss, and illness such as kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, and even a uterus infection called a pyometra. All of these problems can be life threatening . I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible, or even better immediately at an emergency center. Blood work and x-rays will likely be recommended to determine the diagnosis and best treatment plan. If it is a pyometra an emergency spay will be needed to try to save her life. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
