My dog has a swollen gum and a growing bump on her eye. What is it?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 12 lbs

1) My dog Roxy has swollen gum in between her front upper teeth. It was small but it looks bigger by growing downwards since few months. Nothing changed with how she eats. No bleeding. What is it? Should I be concerned? 2) she has a bump on her bottom eye. Is that mole? It looks bigger than last year.

The mass on her eyelid is most likely an eyelid adenoma which is a benign mass. Since it is growing, it would be a good idea to have your vet take a look at it and possibly remove the mass before it gets any bigger. The lesion on her gum could be an epilus and it would also be a good idea to have your vet take a look at it to determine if it needs to be removed.
