I have a dog named Bonnie she has been such a handful since we got her 8 months ago she has pissed and shit inside so many times It's about 2-3 wees every time we get up in the morning she is a smart dog but we've tried everything from piss pads to training and everything we could find but nothing works and to complicate things we have a 9 year old Labrador so we can't leave Bonnie outside and my Labrador inside otherwise It's not fair we are so lost and we're considering re-homing her! With inappropriate elimination it’s always important to rule out medical causes first (like a urinary tract infection). Once medical problems are ruled out the next step is behavior modification. I would recommend that you start from scratch with Bonnie, meaning that you should start re-potty training her as if she were a new puppy. This would mean taking her outside every 30 to 60 minutes, using lots of positive reinforcement when she dies go outside, and crate training her, especially at night. I would also recommend cleaning the areas she has soiled very thoroughly with an enzyme destroying cleaner (like Natire’s Miracle).
