My dog staggers, falls, gets stiff, and howls. Is she having seizures?

Question

Twice this month my dog has staggered then fell over like she was going to pass out and the would lay there and her body would get stiff and she would tilt her head as far back as she could and give a high piercing howl and in a few min start moving around. Other than over weight she seems fine. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 9 years and 9 months old | 15 lbs

From your description, it sounds as though Zoey may have had a seizure or an episode of syncope (a temporary loss of consciousness due to a fall in blood pressure). I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would have her blood pressure checked and blood tested.
