Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 12 years and 1 month old | 4.6 lbs
Hello I saw sth like a tumor on the back of my dog. After a while i saw sth in her tail like a line with some spot white black or dark brown. My dog is 12. I dont want she will be irritate with surgery. Please give me a clue. Thank you

A picture of the lesion you are describing would be really helpful for us to determine the underlying cause of them. Generally speaking the two problems may be completely unrelated. What is affecting her tail could be due to a localized infection, whereas this kind of lump/growth needs to be ideally assessed by your veterinarian to have a definitive and specific answer. Usually there are two ways your vet can do that a part from examining it directly during physical examination. A biopsy can be taken under local or general anesthetic, otherwise a smaller sample through a fine needle can be aspirated (this technique is called FNA= fine needle aspiration). Differentials include skin cysts, infections, benign or more sinister type of tumors.
