Puppy upset stomach, vomiting, hiccups: Should I worry or vaccinate?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 12 days old

Hello. Patch is having an upset tummy since last night. He vomited once as well. I have put him on a bland rice and chicken diet. He usually eats drools puppy food. His third shot of vaccine was due yesterday. Since he wasn't feeling good , I didn't take him. Should I wait for few more days until he's alright or should I take him tomorrow? Also what can I give him to stop his upset tummy issue. He also has hiccups a lot. Even while sleeping at night. Should I be concerned?

I would feed him the rice/chicken mixture another day and then slowly introduce his regular puppy food (keep replacing small amounts of the rice mix with her food until you arrive at 100% regular food). His tummy should be ok by then. Should he appear ill, lethargic or stop eating and drinking, you will need to take him to the vet, as he may have a gastro-intestinal infection. He can be vaccinated as soon as he is healthy and happy again. Hiccups are spasms of the diaphragm, and are usually nothing to worry about.
