My stray cat has a spot in his eye. Could it be hyphema from fighting?

Dear vets, we have a feral cat (we consider him our family cat and his name is Ploffie:-)) yesterday I saw he has a spot in his eye. I tried to see as close as I could yesterday and the pupil reflexes seemed a little bit slower. Today he visited us on daytime and I saw the spot in his eye again, and some scratches on his nose, but he did not act any different and ate very well. I can not catch him. I love Ploffie. If this is hyphema from fighting, is antibiotics enough? Thanks a lot!:-)

It is difficult to see inside the eye via a photo, but I can kind of see a dark spot near the medial aspect of the left eye. This appears to be a possible condition of the eye called synechia, but I would recommend taking Ploffie to your vet to have a proper eye exam in order to tell for sure. IF this is synechia, then medications can be prescribed to help this condition and a ophthalmologist referral may be recommended. Hyphema typically pools at the bottom part of the eye. Other possible conditions are iris atrophy or an ocular tumor. I hope that things work out well for your stray cat Ploffie and his eye. Best wishes and take care.
