Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female

My dog suffered parvovirus before. Her vet told us she is already immune and never get sick again. But now, she is pregnant and she don't have an appetite, almost doesn't want to eat, Is there any connection between her pregnancy to losing of appetite? Thanks for your response.

Poor girl. During the later half and right before labor a pregnant dog will normally have a decreased appetite. But she should be overall still doing well and have good energy level. I am not sure how far along she is, but the typically gestation period is around 58-72 days with most pets going in to labor around day 65. If she is acting ill then it’s best to have her seen by your vet to make sure she is ok. I hope that your pet Bianca turns out ok. Best wishes and take care!
