My dog is vomiting. Did my stomach virus make her sick? Home remedies?

I have a 3 year old Papillon who woke up sick this morning. I'm afraid I passed my stomach virus to my dog. I fell asleep on my sofa the other night and I woke up to her licking my face and now she's sick she still eating food but she's vomiting it up and she's shivering a little. I was wondering if there's any home remedies that I could use to help soothe her stomach. I'm not even sure if it's possible to pass a stomach virus to a dog but I think I may have. It is very unlikely that you passed your stomach virus to your dog. Throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc. I would fast Penelope for 24 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the vomiting or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on
