My puppy has diarrhea and vomited. Is it parvo? What can I do?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | American Bully | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 17 days old | 8 lbs

My puppy had diarrhea yesterday and threw up 3 times, today she has not thrown up, just had diarrhea once, she is still eating (normally) drinking lots of water, and playing normally, would you suspect parvo?? Or no?? What can I do to stop the diarrhea? I’ve been giving her Pepto, she has a vet appointment in the 4th (that’s when I get my paycheck)

Parvo is always on the list. I would highly recommend a veterinarian as soon as possible since a puppy can get sick and decline quickly. They can also get dehydrated. It may also be intestinal parasites which can be zoonotic (which means you can get them) so washing your hands after picking up after her is important. Your veterinarian will test a stool sample and send home a bland diet, a dewormer and potentially antibiotics. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
