Post-op cat hasn't pooped in days. What safe home remedies can I try?

Hi my cat is post op from a few operations last one last week was amputation of her front leg , she isn't moving at all around the house will still eat and drink and lick but hasn't gone toilet at all since Sunday , she has vet apt tomorrow but very worried and since it's been Xmas hard to find places open. Pet's info: Other | Unknown - Other | Female | spayed

The fact that she is not moving around much probably is causing the constipation as well. In the meantime, while you are waiting for the vet's check up you can use canned pumpkin (not pie filling, just the straight-up pumpkin) or liquid paraffin. This should work straight away in the following 8 hours from administration. DO NOT TRY to give an enema as it could be dangerous and cause electrolyte imbalances and colon perforation.
