What fruits and vegetables can my dog safely eat as daily treats?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | unneutered | 10 years old | 7 lbs

Is it okay to give my dog 1/8 of a red apple a day or would every few days be better? And what else besides carrots are a good alternative from treats

Hello. Just about any fruit or vegetable that Snickers will eat will make a good treat. Carrots, apples, melon, bananas can all be fed daily if you like. Not all at once or together, of course, but a piece a day is absolutely fine. Just make sure you never give grapes or raisins as these are toxic.
