What brand of supplement is the best for joint? All i know is petnc. Can it be given to 1 yr old dog even without joint problems? Im not so sure if she has patellar luxation. Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | 1 year and 1 month old | 3.52 lbs

There are lots of good join supplements out there, most of them are a combination of glucosamine/chondroitin. Fish oil is also good to decrease inflammation in the joint. They are safe if there are no joint issues, but then they aren't really needed. Patellar luxation is pretty easy to diagnose by a vet on physical exam. Less severe cases, you can push the patella out of the groove manually. More severe cases, it gets locked out of place and causes the dog to limp.
