This is very concerning. Diarrhea and throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  As your dog is not eating and barely drinking I strongly suggest you take him to a petER for an exam.He will likely need fluids and supportive care to make him feel better.

These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed. Please do not hesitate to contact us again on the forum or by requesting a consultation if you have any more questions or to discuss it any further.

I am sorry to hear about Brooklyn. If his symptoms have been going on for two days, I would strongly recommend taking him in to a veterinarian. Unfortunately we are limited in our "at home" care for dogs that are vomiting, as we cannot give them any oral medication because they will likely vomit it back up. These dogs often need at least a day of injectable medication from the vet to help stop the vomiting and need fluids given via an IV catheter or under the skin to help rehydrate them. In a young dog like this we often worry about ingestion of a foreign object causing the vomiting, or if they are not vaccinated we worry about parvo virus. We can also have severe gastroenteritis or pancreatitis cause these symptoms. The vet will examine him and may recommend testing for parvo virus or x-rays if they are suspicious of an intestinal obstruction.

Poor Freya! She could be suffering from a severe GI illness, may have eaten something rotten, could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. When a dog is having both vomiting and diarrhea for more than 24 hours, it's time to see a vet. The vet can do a physical exam, blood tests, and a urinalysis to diagnose what is causing her symptoms, and then can discuss a treatment plan for her. Given that it's been for a couple of days, I would have Freya seen by a vet as soon as possible.
