Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | unneutered | 30 lbs

I have a pit bull. He is 9 months old. He ate one of my small rags and threw it up whole. About 2 days after that which was yesterday he acted like he didn't want to eat but he eventually ate and threw it up and that was around noon yesterday. So he hasn't ate since he threw up yesterday. He has threw up about twice in the last hour. He is puking what looks like bile.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting and inappetence can be observed with conditions such as gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, dietary indiscretion, gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction, among other possibilities. For this reason, I highly recommend that you have Leo evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment as soon as possible as I am afraid he is likely becoming dehydrated. They would be able to check for these possibilities and also check his hydration status and give him medications to make him feel better. Good luck!
