My dog has diarrhea after starting new food. Should I be worried?

Hachi have been having diarrhea for a few days but otherwise he is completely normal. He's eating and active. I also changed his dog food to Royal Canin a few days ago. Could this be related? Should I be worried? Pet's info: Dog | Shiba Inu | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 3 months old | 28 lbs

Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. This could also be due to the change in food. You may try starting him on a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice for a few days. If this continues, I recommend that you have Hachi evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
