Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 2 months old | 26 lbs
Dog has been limping whist he walks for a few days. Inspected his food, nails, pads, legs, shoulder, and it is not uncomfortable for us to touch or move, he seems to be avoiding putting pressure on it. Hes okay when he runs. Could this be just a muscle injury, hes pulled something? Or do we need a trip to the vet?

I am sorry to hear about Hobson! A strained or pulled muscle or ligament is certainly a possibility. While he may not show pain when you are touching the leg, the fact that he is limping indicates that he is painful. If this has just happened and he is otherwise fine and is able to rest comfortably you can try restricting his activity for a few days- no running/jumping/rough housing. Outside only on a leash and only to go to the bathroom. If after several days of rest you are not seeing an improvement or if Hobson becomes more painful, develops swelling or bruising, or lethargy, then he should visit his vet. I do not recommend any over the counter pain medication as it is not safe in dogs and you should only give pain medications your vet has prescribed.
