Why shouldn't I vaccinate my puppy before they are 6 weeks old?

are there any negative effects or harms in pre-vaccination or vaccinating before the age of 6 weeks?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding your puppy. Most vaccinations are not labeled for use in puppies less than 6 weeks of age. This is the age that they have been tested and found to be protective. Prior to this age, the puppy will still have antibodies from the mother and vaccination will not be helpful. Furthermore, it would place unnecessary stress on the puppy's developing immune system. Therefore, it is necessary to follow the manufacturer's instructions. I hope this information helps!

    The vaccination will not work as the puppy still has maternal antibodies and cannot make its own antibodies. The maternal antibodies will kill the vaccine. Also there are chemicals preserving the vaccine and the company is legally responsible that no harm is done to your puppy. So if you vaccinate the puppy not according to the regimen it was licensed for, the company is not responsible for any damage or death of your puppy. Stick to the prescribed regimen.
