Pet's info: Small Animal | Ferret | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 5 months old
I have a male ferret about 17 months old. He is a house ferret so stays inside, but can go out in garden during warm weather. He has now for some reason started biting me, and it's not jst a little nip, he's not really been into biting, so any advice would be helpful, thankyou

Thanks for reaching out about your ferret. Seventeen months of age is a little old for aggressive behavior due to hormones, but that would be the first thought. Asserting dominance and even rough play are common other reasons for biting behavior. Obviously, castration could lessen some aggression. Otherwise, behavioral training (same as with puppies) can educate the ferret to proper behavior. Consulting a local veterinarian is recommended. Good luck.
