My dog is lethargic, won't eat, vomits after dental surgery. Normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Male | unneutered | 7 years and 10 months old | 2 lbs

My 7 year old chihuahua had teeth removed yesterday it’s been 24 hours and he’s still very down he won’t eat and if he drinks water he vomits it out like foam are those normal symptoms of the anesthesia

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Being down can sometimes last several hours even a few days. However, the vomiting after drinking water is very concerning. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment. This is likely from the anesthesia but it would be a good idea to at least support him with anti-nausea medications to make him feel better. Best of luck!
