My 2-month-old German Shepherd puppy isn't barking. Is this normal?

my puppy is almost 2 months and he literally have never barked yet. he make sounds when i prepare his food but never barks. this is even more confusing to me as he's a german shepherd. HE SHOULD BARK. is this a health problem? can dogs be dumb or mute too? and how can i fix this? Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | unneutered | 1 month and 27 days old | 4 lbs

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Some dogs really just do not bark much which is great. He is also very young so I am suspicious that he will start barking soon. I do not think that you need to do anything about this or worry too much about it. Good luck!
