Why is my 4-month-old kitten's eye watery and sensitive to light?

My 4 month old kitten has a watery eye his other eye is fine. He doesn't seem to like being in the dark. Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | neutered | 4 lbs

This could be due to an eye injury or conditions such as a corneal laceration, corneal ulcer, conjunctivitis, dry eye (also known as KCS), among many other conditions.
