My cat is peeing more frequently with smaller amounts. Is this normal?

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 6 years and 6 months old | 16.3 lbs

Fatboy pee twice a day once in awhile 3 but today he pee at 1 am and at 7 am and now at 1 PM volume of pee less then usual but not too much he look out the window and it is 45 degrees out but he not up there long he eating good he lost 1 pound and a half in 3 months he now 15 we been feeding him less what do u think and what should I do he not crying or peeing anywhere else drinking seem to be normal and he plays good so if he pees again today once or twice what do u reccomend or it it normal

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There are daily variations in urination. If he is able to urinate, I would not be too concerned about this at this point. However, if he starts having issues urinating such as not being able to urinate or urinating in small amounts frequently or urinating blood, have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
