Updated On September 23rd, 2025

My cat is 3 week pregnant. Today I noticed that her breathing rate has increased. Is it common in pregnancy or should I take her to the vet?

That could be completely normal especially when the kittens are starting to grown and occupy more space, but should be an intermittent sign and if continues a check up would be ideal. If that is the case respiratory versus cardiac problems must be differentiated.
