My chocolate lab ate small pieces of rubber from one of his toys. He seems fine and hasn't vommitted. Should I take him to see a vet or can I just monitor him for now?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! If they were small pieces they may pass. However, if they were large pieces, he could become obstructed. If this just happened, you can have him evaluated by a veterinarian who can induce vomiting to retrieve those pieces. Otherwise, you can monitor him closely for signs of an obstruction such as vomiting, inappetence and/or abdominal pain. If these are observed, I recommend you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Good luck and have a good night!
