My dog's abscess burst. What should I do if I can't get to a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 18 lbs

My dog has an abscess that just drained I cleaned it and gave her amoxicillin that I had but I only have one more dose. I’m going to go to the vet tomorrow if I can find one that’s open. If not what should I do?

If you can, flush the abscess cavity with a mild disinfectant. Your dog might not need any more antibiotics. Take Scruffy's temperature on Monday morning. If she has a fever (higher than 102.5F) take her to a veterinarian for an exam. If she has no fever, this may heal by itself without antibiotic treatment.
