Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 9 months old | 75 lbs
My dog has been having diarrhea and vomiting for the past 48 hours. I’ve limited his food and just given him water mostly. He has been not warning us if he needs to go outside and has had 2 diarrhea and 1 massive urine accident in my house. I’ve had him outside mostly to avoid these accidents. He has also been panting a lot more than usual and his diarrhea is green consistently. He hasn’t had any new foods or people food from us. I’m not sure what to do to help him and make him feel better.

Diarrhea and throwing up can have many causes such as a problem with the stomach and intestines caused by a food over sensitivity, eating something that does not agree with the dog, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc. I would fast Kibbles for 24 hours and then put the dog on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, it needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going o
