My cat is sneezing and warm after spay. Should I take her to vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year old | 3.6 lbs

My cat just got spayed a week ago. Her wound and surrounding area looks nice and clean. All of the sudden she started continuously sneezing. She is an indoor cat and it was her first time leaving the house ever since we got her. Her eyes are not watery, though her nose is. Also her ears and paw pads seem a little warm. Is it connected? Should I be worried? Could it be just a cold, or should I bring her to the vet?

It's possible that she contracted an upper respiratory infection when she was at the vet's, if the sneezing do not resolve within 2-3 days i would recommend taking her to your vet to get it checked and treated.
